In Jaipur on Saturday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma met with people benefiting from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) homegrown 4G network. The event at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sitapura celebrated the rollout of this high-speed BSNL 4G service across the state, now live at thousands of sites.
Sharma told the crowd that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, India’s telecom sector is advancing quickly. He highlighted how BSNL’s indigenous 4G network boosts self-reliance and helps folks in rural and border areas. “This service makes it easier to reach education, healthcare, business, and government services,” he said.
People from districts across Rajasthan joined the event, sharing stories in person and online. They thanked Modi for changing their lives with better connectivity.
Take Tulsidas from Haripura village in Alwar. His community lacked mobile signals for years, but now kids can dive into online classes and digital tools thanks to the 4G network.
Sohan Singh from Naikala village in Beawar remembered the old days: residents climbed hills just to talk on the phone. Today, reliable BSNL 4G lets their local panchayat tap into central and state government programs fully.
Even Border Security Force officers at the Abhaywala Outpost in Jaisalmer spoke up. With 4G now just 200 meters from the India-Pakistan border, it sharpens their watch and strengthens security.
Rameshwar Lal Gurjar from Jaipur district added that he used to head to the rooftop for a signal, but high-speed internet now works right inside homes.
Sharma wrapped up by stressing that expanding BSNL’s 4G services will close the digital divide and speed up Rajasthan’s digital transformation, especially in far-off and border spots.
