Mumbai – Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an “idea” and a source of inspiration at a book launch in Mumbai on Friday. The event marked the release of “Modi’s Mission,” written by author Berjis Desai.
Gov. Devvrat called Modi “a great example of service to humanity.” He highlighted decisions that many saw as impossible: revoking Article 370, peacefully resolving the Ram‑Janmabhoomi issue, and lifting India’s global prestige. “He takes every challenge with a strong will,” he said.
The governor noted that Modi hasn’t taken a single day’s off during his 25‑year political career. “His work rhythm is continuous service to the country, society and humanity,” Devvrat added. He congratulated Desai, saying the book’s depth will inspire the younger generation. “Everyone should read it and pick up ideas to live their lives better,” he urged.
“Prime Minister Modi’s work is a source of pride for every Indian,” the governor said, echoing Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s remarks. CM Fadnavis praised the book for showing how Modi’s values, consciousness, and national resolve were shaped. He highlighted historic acts under Modi—Article 370 abrogation, Ram Temple construction, Citizenship Act, and the ban on triple talaq—as driven by a nationalistic mindset.
Fadnavis also spotlighted Modi’s respect for the judiciary, balancing government and courts, and strengthening democratic institutions. On the economy, he claimed that digital “public infrastructure” has moved India ahead of many developed economies. Measures such as demonetization, GST, and income‑tax reforms have turned tax compliance into a new cultural norm.
“Modi put poor people, farmers, youth and women at the center of India’s aspirations,” CM Fadnavis said. He described the book as a mirror of India’s development story.
Deputy CM Eknath Shinde added that Modi’s journey is a story of struggle but also of achievement. “The book is not just a biography; it shows how Modi made the impossible possible,” he remarked. Shinde pointed out that while the world economy faces challenges, India’s economy has risen to the fourth position, with plans to reach third. He highlighted initiatives like “Digital India,” “Make in India,” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” and said Modi’s leadership helped lift 25 crore people out of poverty, empower women, and deliver corruption‑free governance.
The book launch in Mumbai underscored Modi’s image as the present and future of India, with his work praised across the country and beyond.
