Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to the social‑media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday to applaud Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for delivering a speech in Hindi about the NDA’s chances of winning the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Modi said Naidu’s choice of language won over many NDA workers and showed “deep commitment towards Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat.”
The prime minister shared a short video clip of Naidu speaking aloud—about 30 seconds of pure Hindi—at a public meeting in the Kurnool district. Modi highlighted how the CM’s words “captured hearts” and reinforced the national party’s united message.
Earlier on the same day, Modi also praised Nara Lokesh, son of Chief Minister Naidu and the state’s IT minister, for his role in the “Super GST, Super Savings” campaign. The campaign, which used contests and social media to teach young people about the Goods and Services Tax, is part of Andhra Pradesh’s broader GST reforms. Modi congratulated Lokesh on the initiative’s success and thanked him in a post that read:
“Compliments to the Andhra Pradesh Government, especially Minister Nara Lokesh Garu, for the successful ‘Super GST, Super Savings’ campaign across the state. Through innovative competitions, they deepened understanding of GST among the youth.”
During his visit, the prime minister also released a booklet outlining the new GST reforms and invited Lokesh to step onto the stage with him—a gesture that received a warm reply from the TDP leader. Lokesh thanked Modi for the praise, stressing the campaign’s impact on tax compliance and the strengthening of the national revenue base.
The day’s visit began with a prayer at the historic Srisailam Brahmaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple. Later, Modi announced a slate of development projects worth ₹13,400 crore for Andhra Pradesh, assuring citizens that these investments would drive growth and improve public services.
Throughout his stops in the state, Modi maintained an upbeat tone, appealing directly to ordinary citizens while highlighting the achievements of the ruling party and its commitment to building a stronger, united India.
