PM Modi to lay foundation stone for country’s largest Nuclear Power Project in Rajasthan on Sep 25

PM Modi’s Big Visit to Rajasthan: Launching India’s Largest Nuclear Power Project

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make waves in Rajasthan with a high-profile visit to Banswara on September 25. He will lay the foundation stone for the country’s biggest nuclear power project, a massive Rs 45,000 crore initiative that promises to supercharge India’s clean energy drive.

This ambitious nuclear power plant, located near the Mahi Dam on the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border, falls under the Nuclear Energy Mission. It will play a key role in boosting India’s energy security and pushing forward sustainable power generation. Once up and running, it could transform the region’s energy landscape and put Banswara on the national map.

During the trip, PM Modi will also speak at a huge public rally. The Rajasthan government and BJP workers are teaming up to make it a grand event. BJP state president Madan Rathore couldn’t hide his excitement, calling the Banswara nuclear station not just India’s largest but a shining example of the area’s rising role in the nation’s energy future.

The ceremony will see top leaders in attendance, including Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, along with several ministers from both states. Their presence highlights how this project bridges the two states and marks a joint win for regional growth.

Beyond the nuclear project, PM Modi might kick off or launch other development works in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Details on these additional initiatives are still pending official word, but they could cover infrastructure and local boosts.

Preparations are in full swing to pull off a smooth show. From setting up the venue and beefing up security to fixing roads, ensuring steady power, and providing drinking water, every department is on board. Officials are even planning a live telecast so folks across Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh can tune in and catch the historic moment live.

This visit feels like a game-changer, ramping up infrastructure, power output, and local development. It could also give a timely lift to BJP’s efforts ahead of upcoming political milestones.

Just a couple of days back, on Tuesday, Additional Chief Secretary Abhay Kumar from the Water Resources Department led a key meeting at the state secretariat. He laid out clear instructions for departments to coordinate tightly and wrap up arrangements fast.

Kumar made it clear: everyone must ensure top-notch setups for VVIP stays, public transport to the site, medical teams with ambulances on standby, non-stop electricity and water, plus mobile toilets and other basics. He stressed no hiccups on the roads—think road repairs, venue building, barricades, fire trucks, traffic management, parking spots, and secure passes. And don’t forget water stations in every section of the rally area to keep everyone comfortable.
