PM Modi’s leadership getting stronger, Congress fighting for its existence: BJP MP

Noida, November 15 – BJP MP Mahesh Sharma said the recent Bihar state election confirmed that voters keep trusting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and development agenda.
Sharma told reporters at the press event that the results show Bihar’s faith in the “double‑engine” government of Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He added that the Congress party is “fighting for its existence” after losing elections in multiple states, including Bihar.
“Congress has not only lost here but is on a downward trend across the country,” Sharma said. “The Bihar results prove that the Mahagathbandhan was badly beaten and that many people think the Congress will disappear soon.”
He called on Congress to reflect on its own leadership, noting that Rahul Gandhi, the current Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has struggled to turn around the party’s recent defeats. “Let Congress decide what to do with Rahul Gandhi, they are the ones who should decide,” Sharma said.
Regarding the Mahagathbandhan led by Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Tejashwi Yadav, Sharma warned that the alliance brings a legacy of “jungle raj,” corruption, arrogance and misrule. He said that Bihar’s voters want a new path of progress instead of the old governance style.
The BJP’s triumph in the assembly polls gives another boost to Modi’s popularity and highlights the growing impatience with the opposition among voters across the nation.
