In her speech, President Murmu praised teachers for their role in shaping classrooms and preparing children to become responsible, capable citizens. She emphasized that education is vital for everyone’s dignity and security—just as important as food, clothing, and shelter.

The President also spoke about the importance of investing in girls’ education. She said that educating girls is one of the best ways to build a strong family, community, and nation. By providing quality education to girls, India can boost women-led development and create a brighter future.

The awardees included 24 male and 21 female teachers from various parts of India, including big cities and remote villages. They were selected through a tough three-step process that looked at how innovative and impactful their teaching methods are on students.

President Murmu highlighted that teachers play a key role in building students’ character and confidence. She shared her own experience as a teacher and said good teachers inspire students to feel dignity and security. According to her, students who follow moral values and show responsibility make better citizens than those who only focus on competition or rote learning.

She also stressed that modern tools like smart classrooms and high-tech equipment help but believe that smart teachers are the most important. She said teachers who understand their students’ needs and teach with love and sensitivity can make learning exciting and effective.

The President spoke about India’s New Education Policy (NEP), which aims to make the country a global leader in knowledge and innovation. She said that for India to become a “Knowledge Superpower,” teachers must be recognized as the best in the world. Teachers and educational institutions should work actively in all areas—school education, higher education, and skill development—to achieve this goal.

Overall, President Murmu’s message was clear: whether through traditional teaching or new technology, dedicated and caring teachers are the key to India’s progress and success.
