Punjab Police scored a major win against terrorism this week by bringing back Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Parminder Singh, known as Pindi, from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The operation came with strong support from central agencies, showing how Punjab’s forces are cracking down on terror networks.

Pindi works closely with foreign-based terrorists like Harwinder Singh, alias Rinda, and Happy Passia. He’s linked to serious crimes in the Batala-Gurdaspur area, including petrol bomb attacks, brutal assaults, and extortion rackets. After Batala Police issued a Red Corner Notice through Interpol, a four-member Punjab Police team, led by a top officer, headed to the UAE on September 24. They teamed up with India’s Ministry of External Affairs and UAE officials to handle the legal side and safely escort Pindi back to India for trial.

This extradition highlights Punjab Police’s tough stance on terrorism and organized crime. Their global teamwork and sharp investigations are making a real difference in keeping communities safe. In a statement on X, Punjab Police thanked central agencies, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the UAE government for their key role in boosting national security and justice.

In other big news from Punjab, Amritsar Commissionerate Police busted a narco-terror ring on Thursday, arresting six suspects tied to cross-border heroin and weapons smuggling. Officers seized 4.03 kilograms of heroin and two pistols, breaking up a key network that fueled drug and arms trade.

Punjab’s Director General of Police revealed that early probes show the group connected with a handler in Pakistan via social media apps. They received heroin and guns in the Khemkaran and Ferozepur border areas, smuggled over by drones from Pakistani operators. From there, the contraband headed to Amritsar markets. This crackdown is a blow to drug syndicates and terror financing across the region.
