Bihar is buzzing with excitement today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi lands in the poll-bound state for a packed day of developmental announcements. The focus is on Patna and Purnea, where locals can’t wait to see the PM kick off major projects that promise to transform the region.

From colorful welcome posters lining the streets to tight security at key spots, the energy is electric ahead of Modi’s visit. In Purnea, residents are over the moon about the big reveals, with projects worth crores set to launch. One local woman shared her joy, saying, “It’s a huge event. PM Modi is coming, and everything he’s doing for our state benefits us all. We’re so grateful to him.”

BJP worker Suresh Sharma echoed the sentiment, calling it a “big gift for Purnea.” He pointed out, “PM Modi already gave us the Vande Bharat Express, and today he’ll inaugurate the Makhana Board too. This will bring real economic and developmental support to our farmers.”

At the heart of the visit is the inauguration of Purnea Airport’s new interim terminal building, turning it into Bihar’s fourth functional airport. This upgrade will supercharge air connectivity in northeastern Bihar, making travel quicker and easier while opening doors for trade, tourism, and new jobs.

Another excited resident got emotional, telling us, “We struggled with so many issues before, but the Modi government has helped in every way. No PM has done as much for us. It’s pure happiness to have him on Purnea’s soil.”

Modi won’t stop there. He’ll launch the National Makhana Board to empower Bihar’s makhana farmers and producers—a key crop for the state’s agriculture sector. Plus, he’ll lay the foundation stone for the massive Rs 25,000 crore Pirpainti thermal power project and the Kosi-Mechi interlinking project, which aims to improve irrigation and tackle flooding woes.

In a boost for women entrepreneurs, the PM will hand over Rs 500 crore under the DAY-NRLM scheme to self-help groups led by women. He’ll also flag off new train services and inaugurate rail projects to enhance connectivity across Bihar.

As the state gears up for elections, this visit highlights Modi’s push for Bihar’s growth through infrastructure, farming support, and economic opportunities. Locals are hopeful these steps will bring lasting change to their lives.
