Rahul, Cong waiting for Pak’s permission to join Asia Cup victory celebrations: Amit Malviya

BJP leaders are slamming Congress for staying silent after Team India’s thrilling Asia Cup 2025 victory over Pakistan. Amit Malviya, head of the BJP’s IT cell, took a sharp jab on X (formerly Twitter), saying the win has left Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party in a “comatose state.” He accused them of waiting for “permission from Pakistan” before celebrating India’s cricket success.

Malviya pointed out that Congress hasn’t posted a single congratulatory message on social media. He highlighted how Team India beat Pakistan three times in the tournament and brought home the Asia Cup trophy. Drawing a parallel to past events, he compared it to Congress’s reluctance to praise the Indian Army after Operation Sindoor. “Once again, Pakistan, Rahul Gandhi, and Congress find themselves on the same side,” Malviya added.

Earlier that day, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari echoed the criticism. He called Congress the “B-Team of Pakistan” and said they’re always against India’s national interest. Bhandari questioned why Congress leaders are pushing for “sportsman spirit” toward Pakistan right when the country is “completely cornered.” He targeted Rahul Gandhi directly, claiming the Congress leader sided with Pakistan during operations like Sindoor and Tilak, and even called him the “best friend” of Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir. “Why does Congress always support Pakistan over India?” Bhandari asked in his X post.

The drama unfolded after Team India’s exciting five-wicket win against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final on Sunday at Dubai International Stadium. Pakistan looked strong at 113/1, but India’s spinners turned the game around on a tricky pitch. Kuldeep Yadav led the charge, helping bowl Pakistan out for just 146 in 19.1 overs—they lost their last nine wickets for only 33 runs. India chased down the target with ease, securing their ninth Asia Cup title.

Fans across India went wild with joy that night. From cities to villages, people lit fireworks, chanted slogans, and flooded social media with celebrations of the historic cricket victory. The intense India-Pakistan rivalry made the final even more unforgettable.
