Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has announced an exciting initiative to make urban life better for everyone in the state. Starting September 15 and running until October 15, the government will launch a month-long ‘Shahari Seva Shivir’ campaign across all cities and towns. This urban development drive aims to fix public grievances quickly and bring essential civic services right to your doorstep.

In a meeting at his residence, CM Sharma emphasized that the campaign will transform Rajasthan’s urban areas into cleaner, more beautiful, and safer spaces. “Citizens will get instant solutions to their everyday problems,” he said. He urged officials to approach the work with dedication and a service mindset to ensure real changes in every city.

To keep things smooth, the Information and Technology Department is creating a special portal for the campaign. Plus, a handy guide will help citizens understand how to access services easily.

Expect big action on cleanliness and maintenance during the Shahari Seva Shivir. Teams will organize large-scale drives to clean up cities, repair drains and sewer lines, fix manholes and covers, and spruce up public spots like parks, intersections, and community centers. Roads will get patchwork repairs, streetlights will be mended, and new lights added in dark areas for better safety.

This isn’t a solo effort—multiple departments are teaming up, including urban governance, social justice, public health engineering, energy, public works, revenue, women and child development, and health. Such coordination will speed up solutions for Rajasthan citizens’ urban issues.

The camp will make quick services super accessible, like registering births, deaths, and marriages; getting fire NoC, trade licenses, signage approvals, sewer connections, mobile tower permissions, EWS certificates, lease conversions, land-use changes, building approvals, and even paying urban development taxes.

It will also connect eligible people to welfare schemes, such as the Atal Pension Yojana and social security pensions for seniors, widows, and persons with disabilities. On top of that, schools, Anganwadi centers, and other public buildings will see repairs and beautification work.

Originally set for September 15 to October 2, the Rajasthan government extended the campaign to October 15 for even more impact. Minister of State for Urban Development Jhabar Singh Kharra and senior officials joined the meeting to plan it all out.

This Shahari Seva Shivir promises to boost urban governance in Rajasthan and make life easier for residents—stay tuned for updates on how it’s rolling out!
