Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma kicked off major development projects worth over Rs 529 crore in his home turf of Sanganer on Monday. He made it clear that his government aims to boost growth across all 200 assembly constituencies in the state, pushing Rajasthan toward new levels of progress.
Speaking at a lively public event in Jaipur’s Sanganer area, Sharma called the region a powerhouse for industry and culture—not just for the city, but for all of Rajasthan. “We’re focusing on key projects here to help build a developed Rajasthan,” he said, tying it to the state’s bigger vision.
Sharma laid foundation stones and unveiled these initiatives after the event’s main ceremony. The projects span electricity, roads, education, and urban development, with a total value hitting Rs 700 crore dedicated to Sanganer that day. That includes around Rs 171 crore in upgrades at the local stadium.
The state already kicked off Rs 100 crore worth of power sector work in Sanganer. Looking ahead, big moves like building a Unity Mall, expanding the Jaipur Metro, and creating an elevated road from the Sanganer flyover to Choradia petrol pump should speed up local growth and improve connectivity.
One highlight: Sharma laid the groundwork for a new elevated road from Triveni Nagar ROB to near Gurjar Ki Thadi on the Gopalpura bypass, a Rs 218 crore project set to ease traffic and boost infrastructure in Jaipur.
Sharma praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, noting the “unprecedented” nationwide achievements. To mark Modi’s birthday, the state launched Seva Pakhwada—a two-week drive with service camps in rural and urban spots. These aim to bring benefits to every corner of society, echoing Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s Antyodaya ideal of uplifting the last person in line.
“Come join these camps and spread the word,” Sharma urged the crowd, encouraging active participation.
Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa echoed the sentiment, saying Sharma’s team keeps delivering for public welfare. He spotlighted GST reforms under Modi that have eased burdens on everyday people and reinforced the “double-engine” government’s pledge to make Rajasthan a top state.
During the event, Sharma handed out equipment to Anganwadi centers, gave scooters to people with disabilities, and flagged off a new ambulance. Crowds lined the route, showering him with garlands and cheers.
Joining him were Minister of State for Urban Development Jhabar Singh Kharra, MP Ghanshyam Tiwari, MLA Kailash Verma, Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation Mayor Soumya Gurjar, Deputy Mayor Puneet Karnawat, and a host of other officials and locals.
