Jaipur, Oct 22 () – Rajasthan’s police leadership got a fresh boost. The state government announced a shake‑up in senior officers, naming Sachin Mittal as the new Commissioner of Police in Jaipur. The move comes as other top IPS officers take on new roles to tighten law‑enforcement and fight crime across the state.

Govind Gupta is now Director General of the Anti‑Corruption Bureau (ACB), a key post driving Rajasthan’s anti‑corruption drive. Anand Kumar Shrivastava will head the Special Operations Group (SOG) as DG, handling organized‑crime and counter‑terrorism cases. Ashok Kumar Rathore has been promoted to Director General of Jail services, where he will push reforms and modernization of prisons. Meanwhile, Prafful Kumar takes charge as Director General of Intelligence, a role that will strengthen preventive policing and intelligence gathering.

The reshuffle aims to boost efficiency and improve coordination among police, intelligence, and correctional agencies. Officials say the changes align with Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s goal of better law and order and a transparent administration in Rajasthan. All officers must assume their new posts immediately, the Department of Personnel (DoP) said.
