Ramban police in Jammu and Kashmir have seized agricultural land that belonged to a former terrorist.
The 4‑kanal, 11‑marla plot in Dumki Sumber, owned by Farooq Ahmed—better known as “Abid”—was attached under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The move is part of FIR No. 2/2024 at Dharamkund police station.
Officials gave the property a formal attachment notice, stopping any sale or transfer. The action was carried out in front of an executive magistrate and other witnesses, ensuring all legal steps were followed.
Last June, the police had already seized a 1‑kanal, 11‑marla piece of land from another UAPA‑listed suspect, Ali Mohammed “Ibrahim.” With this new attachment, the total land seized in the case now amounts to 6 kanals and 2 marlas.
The operation shows Ramban police’s firm stance against terrorism and their commitment to protecting national security in the Union Territory. The seized property will remain under control until the investigation is complete.
