Bhojpuri film star turned BJP MP Ravi Kishan addressed a crowd in Sandesh block, Bhojpur, on Friday and urged parents to tell their children about Bihar’s past. He said the state’s journey from a crime‑ridden place to a model of development under the NDA government should be remembered.

“Parents, explain to your kids how Bihar looked 20 years ago—how people lived in fear and crime ruled the streets,” Kishan told the gathering. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always warned that we must not forget history. Before our government came to power, Bihar had a terrible reputation. Today, we’re on a path of progress and we must never turn back,” he added.

Drawing from personal experience, the actor‑politician recalled arriving in Bihar in 2001 to film “Saiyaan Hamaar.” “The roads were a mess, and there were shootings, ransoms and kidnappings,” he recalled. “Today, Bihar is a completely different place. We must tell our children about the ‘Jungle Raj’ of two decades ago, so that history is not repeated.”

Kishan expressed confidence that Bihar would reach new heights of growth after the upcoming Assembly elections on November 14. He predicted that the results would confirm the public’s support for the NDA.

He was quick to defend Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after fellow political commentator Tejashwi Yadav called the JDU leader “old and sick.” “Nitish Kumar has sacrificed everything for Bihar. His wife never entered the CM’s residence. He has devoted his life to beautifying the state and lifting it out of misery. There is not a single blemish on his record,” Kishan said. He compared the CM’s dedication to how we treat our aging parents, saying “When our parents grow old, do we abandon them on the streets?”

Kishan’s call comes as Bihar’s Assembly elections will be held in two phases. He believes voters will rise above caste politics and vote for the NDA, seeing the coalition as a “double‑engine government” under Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

The speech highlighted key issues for Bihari voters: how the NDA government has reduced crime, improved roads, and accelerated development, and why voters should trust the leadership of BJP and JDU for the next decade.
