The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is left in chaos after its disastrous result in the Bihar Assembly elections.
Patna’s workers took to the streets on Monday night, rallying just outside Lalu Prasad Yadav’s and Rabri Devi’s house.
They blamed Sanjay Yadav—Tejashwi Yadav’s chief adviser and a Rajya Sabha MP—for the party’s crash.
Sanjay, who hails from Haryana and has earned the nickname “Chanakya” among RJD circles, has become the focus of anger.
Tensions are already high inside the party. After Tejashwi was sworn in as the RJD legislative party leader, dozens of workers marched in front of Rabri Devi’s home.
The demonstrators shouted for Sanjay to return to Haryana and demanded tougher leadership.
The unrest surged when Rohini Acharya, Lalu’s daughter, spoke out.
She accused Sanjay and aide Rameez Nemat Khan of mishandling strategy and of pushing decisions that led to the electoral loss.
Rohini said she was humiliated by Tejashwi, Sanjay, and Rameez, and she cut ties with her brother.
She urged the media to confront them about their conduct and the party’s defeat.
These protests and Rohini’s strong accusations have deepened a crisis that the RJD is already struggling to mend after losing heavy ground in Bihar. The party now faces internal rebellion and a battle to regain control.
