In Jaipur, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) kicked off its Vijayadashami celebrations on Tuesday evening at the Rajasthan University campus. The event marked the exciting start of the organization’s centenary year, drawing around 600 students, women, teachers, and volunteers.

Heavy rain poured down starting at 5 p.m., soaking everyone for nearly an hour. Yet, participants stayed disciplined and full of energy, showcasing the RSS’s enduring spirit of resilience that goes back to its founding in 1925 by K.B. Hedgewar.

Gopal Ji Meena, the former Director General of Police in Uttar Pradesh and the chief guest, lauded the RSS for its strong dedication to society. He highlighted how the group operates with “fearlessness, morality, righteousness, and patriotism,” inspiring people across various communities with its disciplined lifestyle.

RSS regional pracharak Nimbaram echoed this theme, emphasizing the organization’s growth from one leader to millions of dedicated volunteers. “The Sangh doesn’t oppose anyone—it focuses on social transformation, truth, and righteousness,” he said. “Serving the nation is our religion, Mother India is our idol, and the Constitution is our greatest scripture.”

Nimbaram pointed out that over its 100-year journey, the RSS has prioritized the welfare of Hindu society and the nation’s glory, rather than personal fame. He outlined the group’s vision for five key transformations: social harmony, self-respect, family enlightenment, environmental protection, and civic etiquette, which shape all its efforts.

The program wrapped up with a stirring rendition of the RSS anthem—”Whatever storms may come, no matter how many obstacles we face, moving forward is our duty”—followed by resounding chants of Vande Mataram. Even in the downpour, the celebrations ended on a high note of dignity and zeal, symbolizing a bold launch into the RSS centenary year.
