Central India’s Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh states are seeing mostly dry weather right now, with just a few scattered showers popping up in isolated spots. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhopal released its latest bulletin, highlighting how the monsoon is winding down across the region.
While the northwest parts of India wrap up their rainy season, central India sits in a middle ground. Expect some patchy clouds and light rain here and there, but nothing intense.
In Madhya Pradesh, eastern and southeastern districts like Narsinghpur and Chhindwara caught light to moderate showers. Over in Chhattisgarh, similar brief rains hit a handful of areas under cloudy skies. Overall, rainfall stays well below what’s normal for this time of year—no heavy downpours in sight.
Daytime highs hover around 30 to 34 degrees Celsius in both states, while nights cool off to 22 to 25 degrees Celsius. Humidity feels comfortable, and winds stay gentle, with no big weather systems stirring things up.
The IMD isn’t sounding any alarms for storms, heavy rain, or gusty winds. But a weather expert noted that moderate thunderstorms with lightning and rain could roll into places like Narsinghpur, Pandhurna, Pench, Chhindwara, Panna, Anuppur, and Amarkantak this evening. Lighter versions might touch Morena, Gwalior, Bhind, Datia, and spots like Raisen, Satna, and Balaghat too.
Looking at the next 48 hours, things should stay steady. Clouds will thin out a bit, and daytime temperatures might tick up slightly. As the shift from monsoon to post-monsoon weather takes hold, clearer skies and drier days lie ahead for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh residents.
Officials urge everyone to check IMD updates regularly, since local changes could sneak in during this seasonal switch. Daily life won’t face any hitches, and farmers can keep up with their work—just keep an eye on soil moisture and irrigation plans to stay on track.
