Opposition Leaders Shower Birthday Wishes on PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 today, and leaders from across the political spectrum joined in sending warm greetings. Starting from Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister MK Stalin took to X (formerly Twitter) to wish the Prime Minister good health, happiness, and a long life. "Birthday greetings to Hon’ble @PMOIndia Thiru @narendramodi. I convey my wishes for his good health, happiness, and a long life. #NarendraModi," Stalin posted.

Stalin isn’t alone—many opposition figures have stepped up to celebrate PM Modi’s birthday. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge shared his message on X, saying, "Best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji on his birthday. May he be blessed with good health and long life." Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition, echoed the sentiment: "Wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji a happy birthday and good health."

From the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), national convenor Arvind Kejriwal also extended his greetings. "Birthday greetings to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji. Wishing you good health and a long life," he wrote on X. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann added his voice, posting, "Honourable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiji, heartfelt birthday greetings. I pray to the Almighty for your good health and long life."

Even Captain Amarinder Singh, a prominent BJP leader and former Punjab CM, shared a heartfelt note: "Wishing Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiJi a very happy birthday. On this special occasion, I extend my best wishes for your good health, long life, and continued strength to serve the nation."

On the BJP side, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reflected on his long association with PM Modi. Recalling their meetings since 2006 when Singh served as BJP national president, he praised Modi’s dedication and discipline. "From 2006, I was national president so I met him multiple times. Then also I saw that his suggestions used to be really useful. As far as discipline is concerned, as soon as election campaign concluded, he came to me and said, ‘President sir, I am here to give my report card to you, I have finished my campaign work,’" Singh shared in a video clip on X.

To mark PM Modi’s 75th birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a 15-day nationwide campaign called Seva Pakhwada. This initiative will feature blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and exhibitions highlighting the central government’s key achievements. The event aims to spread positivity and service across India.

These gestures show a rare moment of unity in politics, as leaders from different parties come together to wish PM Narendra Modi on his special day.
