Patna, Oct. 24 — Tejashwi Yadav, the popular face of the Grand Alliance in Bihar, kicked off his election campaign by addressing thousands in Ujiarpur, Samastipur district. He used the platform to attack the ruling NDA government and highlight his own promises.
“Prime Minister Modi can bring growth to Gujarat, but he wants votes in Bihar,” Yadav said. “If I become Chief Minister, I promise a worry‑free Bihar. My politics is built on trust, not lies, and every promise will be kept.” He urged voters to back him, saying the state should move past “Jungle Raj” and real corruption.
Yadav stressed two key pledges for the Grand Alliance government:
* Every family without a government job would receive one.
* Women self‑help groups, known as Jeevika Didis, would get a Rs 30,000 monthly stipend.
He warned that if the NDA stays in power, “Murders happen in daylight, gunfire is still common, and 55 scams popped up in the Nitish era.” The former chief minister’s administration had faced several corruption probes, which Yadav called evidence of the regime’s racism toward law and order.
Later, the politician travelled to his home constituency, Raghopur in Vaishali. He opened the new election office in Chaksikandar, Bidupur block, and a secondary office in Chakausan. A large crowd greeted him, and Yadav said, “You’ve already made me CM. ‘Chinta Mukt’ means worry‑free, so I won’t need to campaign hard.”
Calling himself “Lalu’s son who does not fear PM Modi,” Yadav promised a government that would focus on education, employment, women’s empowerment, and social justice. He repeated his pledge for monthly support of Rs 2,500 to every mother and sister.
With energetic speeches and the slogan “Chinta Mukt Bihar,” Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp campaign, aiming to turn Bihar’s upcoming elections into a decisive contest.
