Over in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu shared his excitement on X (formerly Twitter). A glorious moment for Indian cricket!” Naidu wrote.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer also joined in, congratulating the team under Captain Suryakumar Yadav for their spectacular win in the Asia Cup final in Dubai. He said the players’ outstanding skills have filled the country with pride and wished them more triumphs ahead.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan echoed the joy, hailing Team India’s 9th Asia Cup title as a show of excellence and cool-headed play on the big stage. “This historic victory reflects the collective effort, teamwork, and resilience of the entire squad,” he said. Kalyan added that it feels like a perfect early Dussehra gift, sparking pride and happiness across India.
Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh couldn’t hold back his thrill either. “What a match! Kudos to Team India for snatching victory from the jaws of defeat,” he posted. Lokesh called Tilak Varma a hero for his game-changing knock against rivals Pakistan and praised Kuldeep Yadav for flipping the script with his bowling. “Proud of Team India,” he wrapped up.
Even former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy chimed in with warm words. He congratulated the cricket team on their stellar Asia Cup 2023 win, spotlighting their skill, dedication, and unity. Reddy gave a big nod to Tilak Varma, the Telugu sensation, for his crucial final innings and steady tournament form. “Truly commendable effort!” he said.
