Hyderabad, Dec 3 – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the state government plans to hire 40,000 new workers over the next two-and-a-half years. Speaking at a public gathering in Husnabad, he shared that the administration already brought on 60,000 staff during its inaugural year in office.

During the two‑year celebration of the Congress government, Revanth Reddy visited the Siddipet district town of Husnabad and broke ground on development initiatives worth ₹262 crore. He reflected on the historic day in 2023 when voters ousted the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) from power, noting both a martyr’s sacrifice and a political shift as pivotal moments.

The CM said the current administration is living up to the legacy of Telangana’s martyrs by creating jobs and expanding opportunities for the younger generation. He criticized the previous BRS regime, claiming that projects such as the ₹1 lakh‑crore Kaleshwaram canal were abandoned within three years, whereas the Congress has built enduring infrastructure.

Revanth Reddy also highlighted neglect in Husnabad under BRS rule, pointing out that the former government concentrated only on Gajwel, Siddipet and Sircilla, left behind basic housing for the poor, and used the area merely as a political rallying point. He added that no double‑bedroom homes were allocated to low‑income families during that decade.

On agriculture, the CM mentioned the government’s relief of farm loans up to ₹2 lakh per farmer and the removal of significant debt burdens. He noted the Congress spent ₹1.40 lakh crore on farmer welfare and ₹800 crore on free bus travel for women.

He outlined several initiatives: promoting self‑help groups that now run regional transport corporation buses, issuing new ration cards to beneficiaries, and distributing high‑quality rice. The government also supplies 200 units of free electricity to roughly 5 million households.

Looking ahead, the CM expressed confidence that a “people’s government” will govern for a decade, pledging to construct 20 lakh houses for the underserved. He urged residents to elect capable sarpanches who can collaborate effectively with ministers and MLAs to advance village development.

Revanth Reddy paid tribute to Sardar Sarvai Papanna for championing backward‑class empowerment in Husnabad, and recalled Karimnagar’s pivotal role in achieving Telangana statehood, recalling Sonia Gandhi’s commitment there. He announced that he had traveled straight from Delhi to Husnabad after inviting key leaders—including Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjuna Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi—to the Telangana Rising Global Summit.
