Tragic Wall Collapse in West Bengal Kills Family of Three

The victims include 35-year-old Brihaspati Karmakar and her two minors, Sheela, 15, and Priya, 10. The police recovered their bodies and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem to understand the exact cause of death.

According to police, the family was at home when the incident happened. The mud house, located near Sardeshwari School in Kamarpara, was serving as their temporary shelter. Neighbors say the wall may have weakened due to heavy rainfall over the past few days, leading to its collapse.

Local residents rushed to help after hearing the screams. They managed to remove the mud and rescue the family members, but unfortunately, doctors at the hospital declared them dead.

The neighborhood community is deeply saddened by the loss. People say that Brihaspati was supposed to receive funds for building a new house through the government’s rural housing scheme. For now, the family was living in this fragile, temporary shelter.

This tragic incident highlights the dangers of poorly built homes and the impact of heavy rains on vulnerable families. Authorities are investigating to find out more details, and the bodies will undergo post-mortem examinations to confirm the cause of death.

This sad event has shaken the local area, where the victims were well-known and loved. Our thoughts are with their family and community during this difficult time.
