Delhi Police Detain Four Illegal Bangladeshi Migrants, Start Deportation Process
In a quick operation, Delhi Police caught four illegal migrants from Bangladesh, including three women, in the Kapashera area. This happened after a tip-off, and now their deportation back home is underway. The group has been staying in the national capital since 2017.
The bust came from secret info that Head Constable Sundar Singh got about suspicious Bangladeshi women moving around Kapashera. An informer helped point them out, and the police team jumped into action right away.
Officers approached the suspects, asked for their ID papers, and grilled them. The four couldn’t show any valid documents. They confessed to sneaking into India illegally through the Bangaon border and Tripura back in 2017. One even admitted entering on an Indian visa but overstaying without leaving.
These migrants told police they came looking for housekeeping jobs in big cities like Mumbai and Delhi. But they couldn’t find steady work, so they ended up settling near Kapashera in Delhi. On the day cops nabbed them, they were out hunting for jobs.
Digging deeper, the team checked their mobile phones and social media. This led them to contact the migrants’ families in Bangladesh and get their National ID cards as proof. The detained folks are: Farjana Akter from Southpara, Gazirchar Alyamadrasa Ashulia Dhaka; Nazma Begum from Kudaliba, Kotwali, Jessore district; Resma Aktar from Palpara, Road Shibbari Sonadanga Model Khulna; and Orko Khan from Kudaliba, Kotwali Jessore.
After full checks and legal steps, police canceled any fake Indian IDs they had. They handed the case to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in New Delhi to kick off deportation for these illegal Bangladeshi migrants.
South West District Police say this move helps curb crime and keep tabs on foreigners living illegally in the area. They’ve ramped up efforts with special teams from the Operations Cell to hunt for more such cases through better intel.
A dedicated squad, led by Inspector Gajender Singh from the Anti Narcotics Cell and supervised by ACP Vijaypal Tomar, included SI Anil, HCs Sundar, Deepak, and Sandeep, plus constables Rajesh, Mohit, Somata, PC, and Manisha. The team focused on high-risk spots in South West Delhi to spot and act against illegal migrants fast.
This crackdown shows Delhi Police’s zero-tolerance for illegal immigration, aiming to make the city safer for everyone.
