Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Tamil Nadu are gearing up for a key meeting to boost their grassroots efforts ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections. On Sunday evening, state BJP president Nainar Nagenthran will lead the Madurai Perungottai Booth Committee office-bearers’ conference in Dindigul.

The event takes place at Angu Vilas School grounds near Anjali Roundana, drawing booth-level workers and party leaders from across the region. Organizers say it highlights the BJP’s push to build a stronger network at the local level, where booth workers form the party’s electoral backbone.

Top attendees include Union Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan, national strategist and in-charge Aravind Menon, IT Wing head P. Sudhakar Reddy, and national executive member H. Raja. Former state BJP president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, National Mahila Morcha president Vanathi Srinivasan, state vice-president and actor-politician Sarathkumar, and state general secretary Ram Srinivasan will join too. State Booth Committee in-charge R.N. Jayaprakash is set to speak, sharing tips on voter outreach.

Party insiders call this a vital mobilization drive to energize workers in southern districts like Madurai. Discussions will cover strategies for connecting with voters, beefing up local committees, and ramping up digital communication. Leaders plan to stress the need for trained cadres at every polling booth and encourage active involvement in community issues to raise the BJP’s profile in villages and towns.

The gathering also aims to foster organizational unity and get teams ready for bigger campaigns. With senior figures showing up, it’s clear the party views these grassroots ties as essential for expanding in Tamil Nadu. Expect motivational talks to fire up workers and improve coordination as election season approaches.
