Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will now travel to Tenkasi on Friday, Oct 28, after a rainy delay that pushed his original Oct 24‑25 schedule back.
Stalin arrives in Thoothukudi on the 28th and then drives to Tenkasi. There he will inspect local development projects, hand out government benefits, and meet with district officials to check on ongoing work.
The two‑day southern tour, cut short by heavy monsoon rain, has been reshuffled so all planned events can still take place. After Tenkasi, the CM will head to Madurai by road, stay overnight, and on Oct 30 morning he will garland a goddess’s idol at Koripalayam.
That morning he will then drive to Ramanathapuram district for the annual Thevar Guru Pooja at Pasumpon. The ceremony honors the freedom fighter and community leader Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar. Tamil Nadu leaders have long observed Thevar’s birth anniversary and Guru Pooja day, and Stalin’s attendance keeps that tradition alive.
Security and logistics have been upgraded across Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram for the revised itinerary. Stalin is expected to return to Chennai that evening, resuming his southern district tour after the weather‑related postponement.
