New Delhi, Oct 22 – The government will host the Tribal Business Conclave 2025 on Nov 12 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi. The two‑day event aims to open up markets for indigenous goods and attract finance and investment for tribal communities across India.
The conclave also marks the 150th birthday of freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda. It aligns with the Prime Minister’s “Janjatiya Gaurav” and “Vocal for Local” agendas, showing how local pride can drive national progress.
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is leading the event, working closely with the Ministry of Culture, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, and other key ministries such as MSME, Skill Development, Textiles, the North Eastern Region, Electronics & IT, Food Processing, Agriculture, and Rural Development. State governments will also play a vital role in building local entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Key highlights include the “Roots to Rise” pitching sessions, where tribal entrepreneurs can present ideas to investors, CSR leaders and government bodies for mentorship, funding and incubation. Additional programs feature knowledge sessions, masterclasses, and a CEO’s Forum focusing on skilling and market access for tribal businesses.
A large exhibition will showcase over 100 tribal startups and micro‑enterprises, displaying crafts, agro‑products, forest produce and green technologies. A buyer‑seller meet will help connect producers with wider markets.
The conclave is positioned as a turning point in India’s growth story, putting tribal entrepreneurship front and center. By boosting market access, investment and skill development, it supports the vision of an “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” that continues to grow toward a prosperous 2047.
