In Lucknow, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has launched a buzzing two-day Lucknow Skill Festival to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday. This exciting event promises job opportunities to more than 7,500 young people, drawing crowds eager to kickstart their careers.
The festival is happening right now at Colvin Talukdar Ground in Lucknow. Hundreds of youths are showing up to check out employment options and get scanned for jobs in various sectors. Men and women from all walks of life are flocking to the venue, hunting for work. Many shared their gratitude towards PM Modi for creating these chances for everyday folks, and they sent him birthday wishes ahead of the big day.
Take Swati Kumar, one participant at the Lucknow Skill Festival. She always dreamed of studying LLB, but family finances held her back. Now, things look different. "The festival has opened doors for me to fund my own education," she says. "We’re so thankful to PM Modi for initiatives like this. They let common people like us dream big and chase those dreams. Opportunities like these didn’t exist before."
Vinay Mishra, another visitor, came to learn about the job scene. "This is the first time so many companies have gathered in one spot to offer jobs—it’s amazing, and I’m proud to be here," he shared.
Even professionals like Kamlesh, an electrician from Prayagraj, traveled to the skill festival hoping for a better-paying gig. "I’m a huge PM Modi fan and follow him closely. Job or no job, I’ll send him my warm birthday greetings," he added with a smile.
One more participant mentioned he’s on the lookout for an apprenticeship and is optimistic about landing a solid opportunity at this job fair.
Company reps at the event are thrilled too. They praised the energy and passion of the candidates and aim to hire as many skilled talents as possible.
