Yogi Adityanath Launches Seva Pakhwada 2025 in Lucknow to Celebrate PM Modi’s 75th Birthday
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath kicked off the ‘Seva Pakhwada 2025’ campaign in Lucknow today, September 17, to honor Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday. Speaking on behalf of the state’s 25 crore residents, CM Yogi hailed PM Modi as "the world’s most visionary and popular leader."
At a lively press conference, the Chief Minister shared exciting details about this fortnight-long drive, running from September 17 to October 2. The campaign packs in social and creative activities to bring communities together and boost service spirit across Uttar Pradesh.
"It’s our luck that Seva Pakhwada starts on the Prime Minister’s birthday," CM Yogi said with enthusiasm. "Under his leadership, the world now sees a confident new India. From lagging behind, our nation inspires everyone with its bold steps forward."
He spotlighted PM Modi’s big wins over the past 11 years. India has surged ahead in the economy, infrastructure, investments, education, health, agriculture, and water resources. CM Yogi credited this growth to the government’s push for villages, the poor, farmers, women, youth, Dalits, and marginalized groups. "In this time, 25 crore people have escaped poverty," he added proudly.
On India’s rich cultural heritage, CM Yogi highlighted how traditions now shine brighter. "After 500 years, we’ve built a magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya. We’ve revamped Kashi Vishwanath Temple, rejuvenated Kedarnath and Badrinath, and transformed Mahakal Temple. These projects put our spiritual legacy on the global stage."
He also praised tributes to icons like Dr. Ambedkar, Sant Ravidas, and Maharishi Valmiki, calling them key steps toward social justice and empowerment.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, India led by example under PM Modi, CM Yogi noted. "No vaccine reached us in a century, but we developed one in just nine months. We gave it free to every Indian and shared it with dozens of countries."
The first phase of Seva Pakhwada zeroes in on women’s health with the slogan ‘Swastha Nari, Sashakt Pariwar’ (Healthy Women, Empowered Families). Expect health check-ups, nutrition drives, and awareness campaigns. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha will run blood donation camps in every district, while government hospitals and health centers host free check-ups and screenings.
On September 19-20, ‘Prabuddh Sammelan’ (Enlightened People’s Conferences) will bring together ministers, MPs, MLAs, and local leaders for inspiring discussions.
Get ready for the "NaMo Marathon" on September 21 in 17 cities! Thousands of young people will join to promote the Fit India movement and stay active.
The campaign wraps up on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, also marking Lal Bahadur Shastri’s birth anniversary. Look out for Khadi promotion, exhibitions, and toolkit distributions under MSME and One District One Product schemes.
Every district will feature exhibitions on PM Modi’s life journey to motivate students and locals.
CM Yogi wrapped up by linking it all to bigger dreams: "A developed India means a developed Uttar Pradesh; a self-reliant India means a self-reliant UP. With PM Modi’s Vision 2047 guiding us, we’re all in. I pray Lord Ram keeps blessing our leader with his vision."
