Union Minister Giriraj Singh Slams Congress Over AI Video of PM Modi’s Late Mother

In a heated reaction from Bihar’s Begusarai, Union Minister Giriraj Singh blasted the Congress party on Friday for sharing an AI-generated video featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother, Heeraben Modi. The video, posted by the Bihar Congress unit earlier today, shows an imagined scenario where Heeraben appears in PM Modi’s dream and criticizes his political decisions.

"It was heartbreaking to see this," Giriraj Singh told . He accused the Congress and RJD of disrespecting the PM’s mother by using AI technology to make her "say light-hearted things" in a "cheap and lousy" way. The minister didn’t hold back, challenging the Congress: "I dare them—what if I created an AI video of Nehru and Mountbatten? How would they react?"

This isn’t the first time the controversy has erupted. Just days ago, during a Congress-led Voter Adhikar Yatra in Darbhanga, Bihar, an unidentified person took the stage and hurled abuses at PM Modi and his mother. The BJP quickly fired back, targeting opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav from Congress and RJD.

PM Modi himself addressed the issue at a recent event, calling out the RJD and Congress for the alleged insults. "Mother is our world, our self-respect," he said emotionally. "I never imagined this would happen in Bihar, a land rich in traditions. My mother, who lived to 100 and stayed away from politics, faced abuse from RJD-Congress in Bihar. This isn’t just an attack on me—it’s an insult to every mother, sister, and daughter in the country."

The Prime Minister shared that he left his mother to serve the nation and other women, making the remarks even more personal. The row highlights the growing political tensions in Bihar ahead of elections, with BJP defending PM Modi’s family honor while opposition parties face backlash over the AI video and past incidents.
