UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak Slams Akhilesh Yadav Over Misleading Claims on Law and Order, Land Mafia

In a fiery response, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak called out Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav for spreading “misleading and fictional” stories during his recent press meet in Lucknow. Pathak directly tackled Yadav’s attacks on the BJP government’s handling of law and order, land mafia issues, and overall development in the state.

Speaking to on Wednesday, Pathak hit back hard on the land mafia allegations. “Akhilesh Yadav talked about land mafia today, but let’s not forget what happened during SP’s rule,” he said. Pathak pointed out that under the previous SP government, goons encroached on lands of ordinary farmers and common people, all with the party’s protection. “SP ministers and MLAs looted government properties back then,” he added sharply.

The Deputy CM highlighted the BJP’s achievements, noting that the Yogi Adityanath-led government has freed properties worth over Rs 20,000 crore from the clutches of land mafia. This move, he said, has brought real justice to farmers and everyday citizens in Uttar Pradesh.

Shifting to law and order, Pathak praised the transformation since Yogi Adityanath took over as Chief Minister. “Akhilesh Yadav, take a good look at yourself,” Pathak remarked. “Ever since BJP came to power under CM Yogi, goons and mafia have fled Uttar Pradesh. Women feel safe now, and the state runs on the rule of law.” He emphasized how the current administration has made UP a safer place for everyone.

Pathak didn’t hold back on voter rights either, accusing the SP of curbing democracy in the past. “You talk about voters’ rights, Akhilesh ji? Remember 2012 when SP won power? You resigned from Lok Sabha and blocked nominations in Kannauj. There were reports of bogus voting, and people couldn’t even cast their votes freely,” he said, urging Yadav to check old media reports.

On development, Pathak dismissed Yadav’s claims as limited. “Your idea of development was just a few districts. But under BJP, we’ve reached every corner of Uttar Pradesh,” he stated. As proof, he mentioned how the government has distributed mobile phones and tablets to 20 lakh youth, boosting empowerment and opportunities.

Overall, Pathak stressed that the Yogi Adityanath government focuses on all-round progress in Uttar Pradesh—strong law and order, fighting land mafia, empowering the youth, and ensuring women’s safety. This exchange highlights the ongoing political rivalry between BJP and SP ahead of key elections.
