The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025) just wrapped up its third edition on a high note in Greater Noida, India. Held at the India Expo Centre & Mart from September 25 to 29, this five-day event drew massive crowds and big deals, as announced by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).

Organized by the Uttar Pradesh government with FIEO leading the charge, the trade show connected global buyers and Indian exporters through more than 31,650 business-to-business (B2B) meetings. Attendees sealed over 3,900 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth USD 425 million, or about Rs 2,680 crore. Experts predict it will spark business worth over Rs 12,500 crore in the coming months.

Buyers from 88 countries joined in, including powerhouses like Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Africa, South Korea, the UK, the US, and the UAE. Neighbors such as Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, and Uganda also participated. More than 2,400 sellers from Uttar Pradesh displayed their goods in key sectors like handicrafts, textiles, engineering products, food, pharmaceuticals, and electronics.

FIEO President SC Ralhan hailed the event’s success, saying it shows growing global trust in India’s trade potential and Uttar Pradesh’s products. “The record MoUs and inquiries prove Indian exporters are ready to meet worldwide demand,” Ralhan added. “With the right support and outreach, Uttar Pradesh can lead India’s export boom.”

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal echoed the excitement during his speech at the show. He called Uttar Pradesh a rising global hub for investment, innovation, and exports. Goyal highlighted how the event boosts the state’s self-reliance and prosperity. He also noted India’s ongoing talks for Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with various countries, putting the nation on track to become the world’s third-largest economy.
