Jaipur, Nov. 4 – Rajasthan BJP’s state chief, Madan Rathore, said the “Vande Mataram 150” campaign is a patriotic celebration, not a political push.
The central government plans nationwide festivities to mark 150 years since “Vande Mataram” was first sung. In Rajasthan, the movement will become a public festival. The flagship event is set for November 7 at SMS Stadium in Jaipur, where thousands are expected to sing the anthem together.
Rathore also announced district‑level events in Ajmer, Bikaner, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Jodhpur, Sikar, Bhilwara, and Alwar. He stressed that patriotism should be shared by everyone, both those who support the BJP and its opponents.
“Our goal is to bring people together and remind them of their national pride,” Rathore said. “If anyone refuses to sing Vande Mataram, it shows a lack of nationalism. Those who ignore insults to the country or to our army need to wake up the patriotic spirit inside them.”
He added that the “Vande Mataram 150” effort is more than a celebration; it is a mass movement aimed at promoting patriotism, Indian values, and national unity.
Rathore also mentioned that the state will celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda with enthusiasm. He urged that events honoring national heroes inspire all parties, not just the BJP.
The campaign is part of a broader push across India to rekindle love for the nation, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the hearts of citizens.
