The Vice‑President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, spent Tuesday touring the Rajya Sabha Secretariat at Parliament House in New Delhi. During a walking tour he stopped in key parts of the office— the Table Office, Legislative Section, Question Branch, and the staff areas for salaries, amenities, bills and notices. He chatted with clerks and workers, thanking them for keeping the upper house running smoothly.
Radhakrishnan urged the officers and clerks to keep working with dedication, professionalism and a focus on strengthening parliamentary work. He also took the chance to wish everyone a happy Diwali, noting that the festival of lights is a time for unity and tradition in India’s democracy.
Later in the week, the Vice‑President hosted Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence in New Delhi. The two leaders exchanged Diwali greetings, and the visit was shared on the Vice‑President’s X page, where Radhakrishnan posted, “Delighted to welcome and meet our Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji, at the Vice‑President’s enclave today and exchange Deepawali greetings.”
On Tuesday, Radhakrishnan also paid tribute to police officers on Police Commemoration Day. In a message, he praised the courage and sacrifice of police personnel, saying their steadfast commitment keeps the nation safe. He highlighted their bravery, compassion, and readiness to serve even in crises, urging all citizens to respect their service.
