Bihar’s election rally kicks off as Prime Minister Narendra Modi heads to Samastipur on October 24. The BJP and JD(U) welcomed the visit, saying the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set for a landslide win.
JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha told reporters that Modi will launch the campaign in Samastipur, with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also in attendance. “It’s a one‑sided election,” he added. “The NDA is ready for a huge victory.”
BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal echoed the sentiment, saying Modi’s presence will turn the region’s optimism into a wave of excitement. “On November 8 he will visit Bettiah,” Jaiswal said, highlighting Modi’s work for the poor. “It’s why every Bihar family sees him as one of their own.”
Congress leader Pawan Khera laughed: “Let him come—what’s the harm? Bihar knows who to invite and who will run the government.”
Modi’s trip marks his first campaign stop in Bihar since the election was announced. He will give rallies in Samastipur, then in Begusarai, urging voters to back NDA candidates and deliver a strong message to the opposition. His schedule also includes visits to Muzaffarpur and Chhapra on October 30.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also stage two rallies on October 24—one in Siwan and another in Buxar. This follows his earlier tour from October 16‑18, which included a rally in Taraiya (Chhapra).
The BJP’s state teams have finished preparations, ready to mobilise a large turnout for both leaders’ visits. High‑profile rallies from Modi and Shah are expected to lift political energy across Bihar and boost the NDA’s campaign.
