Louisville Shooting: 4 Dead and 9 Injured in Downtown Kentucky

Chicago, April 11 (LatestNewsX.com): A shooting incident in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, has left 4 people dead and 9 others injured, with three of them being in critical condition.

The incident occurred at the Old National Bank on E. Main Street on Monday, April 11th, 2023, at around 8:30 a.m. According to reports, a 23-year-old white man, Connor Sturgeon, who worked at the bank, was the suspect behind the shooting.

HEAVY POLICE PRESENCE AND SUSPECT APPREHENDED

Upon receiving the report, the Louisville police made it to the scene within three minutes. They confirmed that the suspect had fired at them, and in response, they returned fire and neutralized the threat. During a news conference, the Louisville police confirmed that one of the two police officers injured in the shooting was in critical condition.

GUNMAN IDENTIFIED AND DETAILS UNFOLD

Louisville Interim Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel disclosed at a news briefing that the gunman, Connor Sturgeon, was a former employee of the bank. She added that there was a heavy police presence at the scene, and local media reported the presence of damaged glass and discarded medical equipment.
