Tel Aviv – In a crisp early‑morning raid, the Ben Gurion Airport 747 Detective Unit stopped a ketamine smuggling plot that involved about eight kilos of the drug. The cargo was hidden inside ordinary shampoo bottles that the two tourists in their 30s had brought on a flight from England. Police detaining the passengers suspected them of drug smuggling and promptly arrested them. The discovery highlights Israel’s tight security at its busiest international gateway and its ongoing fight against illicit drug trafficking.
