Israeli officials revealed today that Mossad agents helped uncover a Hamas-linked terrorist cell in Germany. The group was plotting attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
German security forces, known as the BFV, arrested three suspects on Wednesday. Mossad worked closely with their German counterparts in intelligence and law enforcement to make the arrests happen. Authorities also seized weapons from the cell members, which they believe were meant for the planned assaults.
This operation marks one of several recent Mossad efforts across Europe to thwart terror threats. Similar collaborations have taken place in countries like Austria, all aimed at protecting Israeli and Jewish communities from Hamas-inspired plots.
