Shashi Ranjan expresses disagreement with Jaya Bachchan’s latest controversial remarks on paparazzi

Mumbai – Dec 8 (LatestNewsX) – ITA founder and actor Shashi Ranjan publicly said he does not agree with Jaya Bachchan’s recent comments about paparazzi. Speaking at an event that celebrated the 25th anniversary of the ITA Awards, he remarked, “It was Jaya Bachchan’s opinion and I strongly disagree with her opinion.”
Ameesha Patel, on the other hand, defended the press and praised their relentless work ethic. In a candid interview with LatestNewsX, she said she has deep affection for “the paps and media professionals” and described them as extraordinarily committed. She noted that, no matter the weather or circumstances, paparazzi “consistently show up and do their job with sincerity.” When asked to respond to Jaya Bachchan’s remarks, Ameesha replied, “Well, everyone’s entitled to their opinion. But I love the paps. I love you, media people. I love you all. You all work very hard. Whether it’s sunny, rainy, cold, or hot, you all are always doing a good job.”
Jaya Bachchan had previously stated that she has no connection with paparazzi and questioned their qualifications and professionalism, criticizing what she described as increasingly invasive behavior. She said, “Yeh jo bahar gande, tight pant pehnke, haath mein mobile leke… they think just because they have a mobile, they can take your picture and say what they want. And the kind of comments they pass – what kind of people are these people? Kahan se aate hain? Kis tarah ka education hai? Kya background hai?” Her statements quickly drew criticism from media circles, social media users, and several industry colleagues.
