Quetta, Nov. 4 – Two Baloch civilians were killed by Pakistani forces outside the courts, a top human‑rights group announced on Tuesday.
The report from Paank, the Baloch National Movement’s Human Rights Department, says the new deaths add to a growing list of extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances and torture that plague Balochistan.
On Oct. 29, labourer Hamza Baloch from Sourgar Oranch in the Khuzdar district vanished after a Pakistan‑backed death squad seized him and handed him over to the army. Paank says he was held illegally for five days before police found his bullet‑riddled body on Monday in Jootar Koor Korak, Awaran district.
Earlier, on Nov. 1, Bahad Baloch of Kulaho village, Kech district, was brutally murdered by the same death squad. Kurta … [re-write including details about robbery, alleged suicide attempts, body moved to Turbat Civil Hospital]
Paank’s statement calls the killings “heinous war crimes” carried out by Pakistan’s security forces and their local militias. The group urges global leaders to freeze funding to Pakistan, claiming money fuels these abuses.
The group also warns that the Baloch youth Asif Hasil, a fisherman, disappeared from a near‑shore check‑point in Gwadar after a midnight raid by the Counter‑Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies that seized his family’s phones.
Paank says the widespread threat of illegal detention traumatizes Baloch communities. It demands immediate international intervention to hold the Pakistani state accountable for its ongoing human‑rights violations against Baloch civilians.
