Singapore’s Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) revealed more than 20 new inventions at its brand‑new testing and evaluation center, built specifically for public‑safety projects. The purpose‑built site lets HTX researchers and frontline teams experiment with cutting‑edge tools—like advanced surveillance systems, rapid‑response drones, and smart crowd‑monitoring software—before they’re rolled out nationwide.
“This is the first time we have a dedicated space where we can test and fine‑tune public‑safety tech in real‑world scenarios,” said an HTX spokesperson. The facility sits on a 1.2‑hectare plot and includes labs, simulation rooms and a mock‑city environment.
Officials say the innovations will help Singapore stay ahead of emerging threats and improve emergency response times. The launch positions HTX as a key player in the country’s innovation ecosystem and highlights Singapore’s commitment to using technology for safer communities.
