Donald Trump said the Middle East just experienced a “tremendous day” after a group of leaders signed a new Gaza declaration. The agreement, announced in a meeting that brought together U.S. officials, the Israeli government and several Arab allies, sets a framework for ending hostilities in Gaza and opening a path to longer‑term peace.

Trump, who has long promoted the Abraham Accords, praised the deal as a major step toward stability in the region. “It is a huge success for the Middle East,” he told reporters. “We have now a solid foundation for a durable peace.”

The declaration calls for a truce between Israel and Hamas, the safety of civilians, and a plan to bring humanitarian aid into Gaza. It also outlines incentives for both sides to obey the terms and a roadmap to address the underlying conflict.

Leaders from Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco signed the document, while the U.S. pledged additional political and economic support. Critics say the measure may be too vague for lasting impact, but supporters argue that officially recognizing a ceasefire is a crucial first step.

The signing takes place against a backdrop of rising tensions in the region and pressure from the United Nations to find a peaceful resolution. By backing the declaration, Trump opens the door for more diplomatic talks and new alliances that could reshape Middle Eastern politics.
