Dubai, Oct 19 – UAE Vice‑President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum posted warm wishes for Diwali on X. He said, “Happy Diwali – may the festival of lights bring peace, safety, and prosperity to you and your loved ones.”

The message came as the UAE’s largest Indian community looked on, and several embassies echoed the sentiment. The Singapore High Commission posted pictures of its staff creating colourful rangoli and lighting lamps. A tweet from the Singapore mission said, “Happy Diwali! May this season light your home with joy, peace and prosperity.”

Across the Gulf, the Iranian Embassy in India also took to X, wishing a joyous Diwali to all Indians. The post noted that the festival “strengthens friendship” between the two nations.
