150 ICE protesters flock to lower Manhattan government building after reports of agents rounding up illegal migrants

On Saturday, a group of more than 150 anti‑ICE demonstrators poured into a lower‑Manhattan government site. They confronted police after rumors that federal agents were preparing to detain illegal migrants later that week. By 1 p.m., at least two protesters had been taken into custody, according to police sources. Video footage shows some of the crowd yelling “you are corrupt” while ignoring NYPD requests to “back up” behind the barricades that the authorities had erected. In several shots, participants even pushed the metal barriers toward the officers.
