On the night of November 22, a rising 22‑year‑old Latin‑music star, Maria De La Rosa—known onstage as DELAROSA—was fatally shot while sitting in her parked car in Los Angeles.
In the Northridge district, two men rushed the vehicle and opened fire at about 1:25 a.m., leaving her dead on arrival at Northridge Hospital Medical Center.
Witnesses recall the attackers leaping forward, firing a burst of rounds, and fleeing before the driver could respond, while the two other passengers inside the car sustained critical injuries.
Police say the killing may be gang‑related, though no motive has been confirmed yet. The young singer had just released her August single “No Me Llames,” and detectives are still working to identify the unknown suspects behind this execution‑style attack.
