Burglars broke into New Orleans Saints star Cam Jordan’s house in Metairie, Louisiana while he was playing a game. The theft happened on September 14, the night the Saints lost 26‑21 to the San Francisco 49ers in the Superdome. Police found out the break‑in last week after the thieves drove nearly 1,000 miles from Atlanta.
Sheriff Joseph Lopinto of Jefferson Parish told reporters that forced entry happened at 8 p.m. When Jordan’s wife returned home, she discovered the damage and called the police. “Yah that Sunday sucked,” Jordan tweeted on X, adding that the most important thing was that his family was safe.
Investigators say the burglars used a rented vehicle, traveling about 500 miles from Atlanta to the suburb of Metairie, then another 500 miles back to Georgia that night. Conyers police in Georgia stopped the vehicle and recovered a large portion of the stolen items within 24 hours, though the sheriff kept the specifics under wraps.
Two suspects—28‑year‑old Donald Robinson and 19‑year‑old Jarod Brown—were taken into custody by Conyers officers and then arrested by Jefferson Parish detectives. Two other individuals, 20‑year‑old Jahaun Suber and 19‑year‑old Devell Ortiz, remain at large. The sheriff is working with the FBI to locate and apprehend them.
No formal charges have been filed yet, but sheriff Lopinto said the case could involve burglary and possession of stolen property. He also joked that officials were “siccing” on the suspects, echoing a phrase Jordan once used about his teammate Matt Ryan.
Cam Jordan, a 15‑year veteran, is currently the Saints’ top defender, recording 15 tackles and 2.5 sacks this season. The team sits at 1‑4 early in the 2025 campaign, with a sole win over the Giants last Sunday.
Preceding this incident, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s $7.5 million home in Anderson Township was broken into while he played a road game against the Cowboys in December 2024, with a bedroom ransacked and a window shattered. The burglary highlights a growing trend of targeting NFL players’ homes during away games.
