Irate passenger kicked off United Airlines flight in Newark after cursing out attendant: ‘F–king c–ts’
During a United Airlines flight that was stuck on Newark’s tarmac, a woman’s out‑of‑line rant captured the attention of fellow passengers—and soon a viral TikTok video. The upset traveler was caught on camera as she boomed her frustration to a flight attendant, sparking a swirl of reactions both inside the cabin and online.
“This woman went absolutely nuts and we had to return back to the gate to remove her,” the passenger who shot the clip says in the caption of the TikTok.
In the recording, a blonde passenger in a window seat pulls her own seat back and, as she walks down the aisle, crosses paths with an attendant. The crew member gives her a brief nod and keeps moving, but the irate passenger bursts into a tirade that rapidly attracted viewers.
“I’m getting up. I’m allowed to stand up. When you keep us on the tarmac for an hour, I’m allowed to stand up,” the woman groused.
The flight attendant calmly steps aside, replying, “Not a problem,” in a way that the passenger immediately condemned: “Not a problem at all. Really … ” She then pulls out her phone, realizing she’s being filmed, and goes silent, trying to play it cool.
The traveler later noticed the recording and kept quiet, looking almost dejected. The witness, who was also on the flight, gave an update about how the flight to Charleston had been delayed for three hours prior to boarding. When the plane finally halted for an hour and a half on the tarmac, the group was understandably exhausted, and then the woman started shouting the “c‑word” repeatedly before the quiet fell over everyone.
No amount of calming from other passengers could bring her back, and the crew eventually had to escort her off the aircraft. “The crew then had the biggest guys on the plane sit next to her just in case she got physical,” the witness explains.
She was later escorted off the plane and left at Newark Airport. She put on her sunglasses and muttered, “Thank God,” as the crew walked her away.
The fellow passenger reminded everyone that the flight attendants were truly “angels” and that “everybody stayed calm.” In the midst of a record‑breaking government shutdown that was causing widespread delays, the incident highlighted the stress particular to that period.
