An Ohio woman got a shocking surprise with her Starbucks order this weekend. Autumn Perkins, from Middletown, stopped at a Starbucks inside a Kroger store—run by the grocery chain itself—to grab Charlie Kirk’s favorite drink: a mint majesty with two honeys.
When Perkins picked up her cup, she spotted the ugly words “racist’s fav drink” scrawled on the side. “It’s time for people to stop this nonsense,” she told Fox News Digital, clearly upset by the hateful message.
Perkins quickly talked to the store manager. The employee who wrote it admitted to the act and got fired on the spot. “I would agree that people should be fired if they’re doing something like this,” Perkins said. “Actions have repercussions.”
She praised conservative commentator Charlie Kirk for promoting respect, even amid disagreements. “We can’t communicate and grow if we’re disrespecting each other,” Perkins added. “Charlie stood for respect—we don’t have to agree on everything.”
Starbucks responded swiftly in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Writing this on a cup is unacceptable, and we have clear policies that prohibit negative messages to help preserve a welcoming environment,” a spokesperson said. “This Starbucks location is licensed and operated by Kroger. We understand that this associate was terminated by Kroger.”
Kroger backed that up in an email Monday. “This behavior does not reflect Kroger’s values,” the company said, confirming the firing.
Perkins, who often hits up Starbucks while traveling because it’s so easy to find, is done with the chain. “I don’t intend to spend another penny at Starbucks—and as far as I’m concerned, neither will my children or anybody else in my family who will listen to me.”
