A worried dad wants to know why his wife in jail wouldn’t tell him where his daughter is.
Gordon Terrelonge spoke to NBC 6 South Florida after visiting Paasha Davis at the Broward County jail on Thanksgiving day.
“She showed anger,” he said. “I was hoping that maybe, you know, she would care, that you know she’s out there and everyone’s worried, you know?”
He explained that he hasn’t seen his 10‑year‑old daughter, Gabby, since about May, when the three of them were staying at a motel near Orlando. The family’s life was unstable, and Paasha has schizophrenia.
The couple fought before Paasha left the motel with Gabby. A judge had earlier ordered Gordon to stay away from the mother two months before. In October, Gordon learned that Paasha was arrested for shoplifting and that no one seemed to know where Gabby was.
Gordon reported Gabby missing on Oct. 29. A few days later, Paasha was arrested again for child neglect without great bodily harm. She and Gabby were seen boarding a bus together on June 20, but by July 7 the mother was on a different bus without the girl.
Paasha has been uncooperative with investigators, saying only that she gave Gabby back to her father around July. Gordon insists he has nothing to do with her disappearance and even passed a police polygraph test, according to NBC 6.
“I don’t know how she’s not worried by her being in a dangerous situation and not saying anything, that wouldn’t make sense to me, and it still doesn’t, but you know, we live in a crazy world, who knows?” he told the outlet.
He had hoped that a Thanksgiving visit in jail would give him some answers from the wife he once thought of as a devoted caregiver—just to find out he was wrong. “I went there to try to get answers because I mean, I don’t really understand the holidays right now because things are not right,” he said. “It actually ruined the day for me, to be honest, it was, like, terrible.”
