The FBI has intensified its hunt for the violent killer who brutally stabbed a coworker and her six‑year‑old son at a South Jersey apartment complex, announcing a $50,000 reward for anyone who can help track him down.

The culprit, Nazeer Hameed, 37, carried out the murders in March 2017 at the Fox Meadow Apartments in Maple Shade, where both he and the victims lived. Six months after the shooting, Hameed fled to India, according to authorities.

After years of investigation, DNA evidence finally tied Hameed to the crime, allowing officials to file charges in his absence. The motive behind the killings of Sasikala Narra, 38, and her little boy Anish remains unknown.

Hameed first came under suspicion when investigators discovered he had faced stalking charges against Narra. His wife’s distraught husband found their bodies after returning from a work event.

At the scene, detectives recovered a single blood droplet that didn’t match either victim. With patience and persistence, they eventually secured a DNA sample from Hameed’s employer, Cognizant Technology Solutions, after the company handed over his laptop. That sample was the key to bringing him to justice.

Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw has urged both the U.S. and Indian governments to expedite Hameed’s extradition so he can stand trial for first‑degree murder, telling ABC News, “We call upon the United States government and the government of India to take swift and decisive action to ensure that this individual is extradited without delay.”

Family attorney Donald Browne described the tragedy as “shocking more than anything else” and praised the relentless efforts of law‑enforcement officials, adding that the family deeply appreciates their perseverance.
