In the recording, Rahmanullah Lakanwal can be seen calmly pointing his gun and firing at National Guard personnel in Washington, DC, on Thanksgiving Eve, according to a clip released by the Wall Street Journal.
Later, a witness‐held video captures a male guard sprinting down the street while desperately attempting to reload his own weapon.
Shortly thereafter, another clip shows the two guards—Sarah Beckstrom, 20, and Andrew Wolfe, 24—lying on the pavement after the exchange.
Sarah Beckstrom succumbed to her injuries on Thursday night, while Andrew Wolfe remains alive and receiving treatment.
